Architectural Engineering

Mark Odorizzi is a freshman Architectural Engineering student at Drexel University, minoring in
Music. He grew up in the small city of Williamsport, PA and was excited to make the transition to the bustling city of Philadelphia. At Drexel, Mark has taken heavy academic loads each quarter, maxing out at 20 credits for 2 out of 3 freshman quarters and quickly jumping into major-specific courses. Aside from academics, Mark is part of the leadership cohort of the Engineering Learning Community and a member of the American Society for Civil Engineers. As part of the learning community, he enjoys tutoring and helping his peers with school work – which he will pursue in the future through the Paul Peck Scholars Program. He also has ambitions to enter the Pennoni Honors College and the DEI Honor Society. Mark’s main extracurricular involvement is centered on the piano. For ten years, Mark developed a love for piano performance and accompaniment. He has continued to play piano in Philadelphia through Drexel ensembles, such as the Keyboard Ensemble and various Chamber Music Ensembles, private piano lessons, coursework to fulfill his music minor and volunteering to provide
music at church services. Mark enjoys being involved in the Catholic Newman community on Drexel’s campus, which is where he initially met his group for the Freshman Design Project.
